Beth Madeline Rubens

Beth Rubens holds a BA in French Language and Literature from Vassar College and an MM in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Following a professional singing career in the Bay Area, she completed Levels I and II of her Orff Schulwerk training to specialize in early childhood and elementary classroom music education. Beth has performed at music festivals and professional theater companies in both Italy and San Francisco, and she spent a year teaching and singing professionally in New York before returning to the West Coast. In 2001, she relocated to upstate New York, where she continued to teach voice and perform as a soloist, before ultimately settling in Washington, DC, in 2002.

Ms. Rubens currently sings with the Washington Master Chorale, and as the Cantorial Soloist for Bet Aviv Congregation. Additionally, she has sung with the Washington Savoyards, the Opera Theater of Northern VA, Washington Shakespeare, The InSeries, the Washington Opera Society, and as a soloist in several recitals and concerts in the greater DC/MD area. Beth has been on the faculty of the Levine School of Music, The Washington Conservatory of Music, Mundo Verde Public Charter School, and Rochambeau, the French International School. She was music director for the Oyster-Adams middle school musical for seven years. Ms. Rubens is also proud mom to two music lovers.
